Kate Sugden, NP

Kate Sugden is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Missouri in 2023. With 17 years of experience as an intensive care nurse, Kate brings a strong clinical foundation and a compassionate, patient-centered approach to her role at Advanced Gastroenterology Associates.

She provides care for patients with a broad range of digestive health concerns, from common conditions such as heartburn, constipation, and diarrhea to more complex disorders including cirrhosis, inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis), and pancreatic disease. Kate is also committed to preventive care, particularly colon cancer screenings, and works collaboratively with patients to promote long-term digestive health and wellness.

Dedicated to fostering trusting relationships, Kate prioritizes listening, patient education, and creating an environment where individuals feel empowered to manage their health. Outside of practice, she enjoys spending time with her family and two dogs and staying active through biking, walking, and pickleball.
